2024-2025 Program
Welcome! We are so glad that you are interested in Sundial Classical Farmstead. Please read about our application, enrollment, and orientation process below. We know this is a lengthy process and thank you for your patience. We have put these steps in place to ensure that we are a good fit for your family's needs. We look forward to meeting your family soon!
Step 1 - Initial Contact - Year Round
Complete the initial 2024-2025 Family Contact Form as Part A of the application process. Please be sure to submit accurate email addresses as these will be used to provide access to the next phase.
Step 2 - Student Application - April to August and again in January
During the next open enrollment phase you will be sent a link for the formal application that is Part B of the application process.
Step 3 - Meeting In Person - April to August and again in January
Upon review of your formal application, your family may be offered the opportunity to continue to Part C of the application process. During this phase families are offered the option of observing a class during April, May, and January.
While observations are optional, families are required to conduct an in person interview with the Sundial Director. All prospective child(ren) and at least one parent/guardian, but ideally both, are required to attend this interview.
Step 4 - Notice of Acceptance - First week of June
The first round of acceptance letters will be sent during the first week of June. After that, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis as openings remain available. Families are encouraged to complete the enrollment process as soon as possible to ensure a place for their child(ren).
Step 5 - Registration Opens - June-August, January
New families will be sent a link to an enrollment packet that can be completed online. Your child is considered admitted, with a seat reserved for them, after your first tuition payment is submitted and all enrollment paperwork is completed. We ask families to prepay the first month's tuition the first year that they enroll. After that tuition is due on the first of the month from August to May.
Step 6 - Registration Closes - end of August
Fall enrollment closes at the end of August. Limited mid-year enrollment opens in January if seats are available.
Step 7 - Orientation - mid August
New and existing families are invited to a meet-and-greet event before the new school year begins.
Step 8 - Parent/Guardian Education and Volunteer Opportunities - Year Round
Families are required to attend six hours of parent education classes and complete six hours of in-person volunteering. Multiple opportunities to complete these requirements will be offered throughout the year.
The purpose of these sessions is to help parents understand classical education and to identify practices they may wish to bring into the home. They are also wonderful opportunities for community-building that our parents truly enjoy!
